Fundraiser for CASI Spay and Neuter Program Nov. 4

Puppy Pals quilt has been donated for a fundraiser for CASI’s Spay & Neuter program.

Tickets are available for $5 and can be purchased at Lone Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Carson City. Only 200 tickets will be offered.

PTO leader to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

Speaking at Monday's Democratic luncheon will be Jason Hastings, who has served in leadership positions with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) since their children started school in Carson City. Wife Lisa is also active with PTO, and is currently servng as president. At Monday's luncheon, Jason and Lisa will provide an update on current PTO activities, interests, and goals.

Miller Counseling is partnering with Douglas Center for Hope and Healing to offer grief support groups to Carson City and the surrounding rural communities Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Miller Counseling and Wellness Center is located at 104 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City.

The Center for Hope and Healing has been providing grief support to Douglas County for the last 10 years. The goal of building this partnership is to make the free support groups available and easier to access to more members of the Northern Nevada community.
