A Jeep Grand Cherokee with an adult and four juvenile passengers flipped Wednesday afternoon while making a turn at Simone and Telegraph streets in Carson City.

One passenger received a small cut after she was outside the vehicle attempting to help others get out. No other injuries were reported and speed doesn't appear to be a factor, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Deputy Bob Guimont.

Plans are in the works to relocate the Zephyr Point Fire Lookout at Zephyr Heights on the east shore of Lake Tahoe to a new area above Spooner Summit in Douglas County, the U.S. Forest Service announced Wednesday.

The lookout, which was determined to be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places in 1997, would be dismantled from its current location and reassembled at the new site on top of White Hill, according to the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the Forest Service.

A Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 6:01 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Fifth Street. He faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after admitting to throwing a picture frame at his partner, hitting him in the head.

A man was extradited Tuesday from California to Carson City to appear on a felony drug charge. Gary Lee Taylor, 35, faces a warrant charge of trafficking a schedule 1 drug.

The warrant was issued out of Carson City First Judicial Court. He is being held without bail on the warrant. Taylor also has a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in traffic court. Bail for that is $1,474.

In other arrests:
A Carson City man stopped Tuesday for suspicion of DUI was found to have a felony parole and probation hold and is in the Carson City Jail being held without bail awaiting extradition.

Gov. Brian Sandoval said Tuesday the state made the right decision when it decided to move forward with the creation of its own health exchange to comply with the new federal health care law.

Nevada has 513 people who have paid for or who have scheduled payments for health insurance. When the 1,484 people who have confirmed enrollments and who will soon get a bill in the mail are counted, the total is just under 2,000.
