The Friends in Service Helping, FISH Student Housing project taking shape in downtown Carson City is moving along on schedule. As of June 2023, the exterior of the two apartment buildings is 95 percent completed with side paneling, roofing, balconies, window installations, paint, and planted trees.

Veterans may never want to leave the newly remodeled Veterans Resource Center at Western Nevada College.
Thanks to NV Energy Foundation’s generous donation to Western Nevada College Foundation and the fundraising efforts of Carson City Chamber’s 2023 Leadership Institute, the college’s Veterans Resource Center has transformed into a home-away-from home for the college’s veterans with many new amenities and technology.

"Chapters of Our Life" is an original play based on senior citizens real life stories. The play focuses on four true stories that dramatize the different chapters of our life that inspire us to approach life with a joyful and light hearted attitude.
