Carson City’s Judge James T. Russell found that the Board of Supervisors erred when they reversed a planning commission decision allowing a meat processing facility to be built in the industrial area off of Highway 50 E.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office completed its third saturation patrol on Friday June 9th. This is the third saturation patrol since January.

Silver Springs and Stagecoach were the area of focus for the event. This event was unannounced, however it was clear to the citizenry almost immediately that it was taking place.

The Brewery Art Center is getting a major facelift.

According to Director of Operations Mikey Wiecek, the main building known as the Brewery Building was built in 1864, and recently received a historic preservation grant to restore and repair the exterior walls at a cost of over $300,000.

On June 3, 2023, at approximately 1241 hours, Lyon County Animal Services (LCAS) received an anonymous complaint in reference suspicious activity occurring at a residence on 10th Street, in Silver Springs, Nevada. The Lyon County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) was requested to assist.
