Meet and Greet held for Comedian, Actor Jamie Lissow at Carson Nugget Saturday

Jamie Lissow will be performing at the Carson Nugget tomorrow, Saturday June 17, but prior to his two shows, a special Meet and Greet event will be held at Gina’s Good Life Lounge.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to win a pair of VIP tickets.

Jamie Lissow is both an actor and comedian, and is best known for his starring role in the Netflix series “Real Rob” which also stars Rob Schneider, Adam Sandler, Norm MacDonald and David Space; Lissow co-wrote and co-produced the series.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office identifies remains of missing man last seen in Downtown Carson City

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office identified human remains located in the Kings Canyon area on May 2nd, 2023, as Marc Cole through DNA comparison. Mr. Cole was reported missing on February 14th, 2023, by a friend in Carson City.

Board of County Commissioners approves contract for new Douglas County Manager

During its meeting on June 15, 2023, the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners approved a contract for Jenifer Davidson to serve as the County’s new County Manager. Davidson has served as Interim County Manager since June 6 and previously served as Assistant County Manager since April 2018.

State purchases Harley Davidson Financial Building in Carson City for $18.5 million

The Harley Davidson Financial Building, located at 3850 Arrowhead Way in Carson City, is in the process of being acquired by a new buyer — the state of Nevada.

This is not the first time the financial building has been sold; in January 2021, an investment company out of Las Vegas initially purchased the property for $3.8 million.
