Carson City officers arrest men on felony weapon and drug charges

Carson City authorities arrested two men, both with felony convictions, on various felony weapon and drug charges after a traffic stop at 11:45 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 1400 block of Rand. A loaded rifle "ready to fire" tucked in the front seat of the vehicle, knives and methamphetamine were confiscated.

Dareck Gregory Pollock, 38, of Wellington, and Robert Lee Hill, 37, of Ridgecrest were taken into custody by Carson City authorities after a search of the men and vehicle turned up the gun, knives and drugs.

This is a letter I sent out to Gov. Sandoval, and multiple other State Representatives. I felt that the general public should know what our prison system is doing to multiple small business owners in Carson City and Nevada. I would be very pleased if someone would bring this to light and show what our tax dollars are doing in this economy. There was a big story about this in Vegas with another company ... but this is also happening in our own backyard.

"How to Advise Yearbook" is a new course offered this spring in Carson City through the Western Nevada College's Community Education department and is designed to give aspiring and novice yearbook advisers a solid grounding in the theory and application of modern yearbooking.

— It’s against the law for lobbyists to make false statements or “misrepresentations of facts” to a lawmaker.
— Lawmakers can’t ask to have a “young sexy assistant” bring up a bill. That could be sexual harassment.
