Conditions and weather permitting, Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District and the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit are scheduled to burn piles along the East Shore beginning Monday, April 24, 2023.

Carson City sheriff's deputies make weekend arrests for DUIs, warrants

Two dead in Carson City crash late Sunday night, three injured
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 04/23/2023 - 10:15pmUPDATE 6 a.m.: Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong tells KOLO that the incident involved a vehicle pursuit in which suspects in the vehicle that caused the crash had stolen merchandise from a south Carson Street clothing store. The two killed in the crash were passengers in the suspect vehicle. A third passenger and the driver were taken to Renown. The driver of the victim vehicle was also taken to Renown. Their condition is unknown.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol were called Sunday night to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of East William and North Saliman.
