Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 04/23/2023 - 12:39pmTo reduce hazardous fuels on National Forest System and city-owned lands, sheep will be released on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the West Carson Fuels Project area located on the west side of Carson City. These sheep will consume cheatgrass and other non-native vegetation on Carson City Open Space and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s Carson Ranger District.

The Unit also supports the CCSO Operations and Detective Divisions, Carson City Fire Department, Carson City Parks, BLM, USFS, and neighboring counties.

Carson City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ronni Hannaman will be the featured speaker at the Tuesday, April 25 meeting. Carson High announces 2023 Prom King and Queen
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 04/23/2023 - 7:56amCarson High School named Jacob Xie and Deepti Arun as the 2023 Prom King and Queen. A short coronation ceremony was held Saturday during the Prom Dance.
Additionally, Hunter Curran and Emily Vicente were crowned Carson High School’s Friendship Ball King and Queen during that dance Thursday evening in the Morse Burley Gym.
