Carson City sheriff's deputies make weekend arrests for DUIs, warrants
A 26-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of second DUI and basic speeding, both misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
According to the report, a CCSO sergeant made a traffic stop on a driver who had been speeding, going 57 mph in a 40 mph zone. During the stop, the sergeant could smell an odor of alcohol on the driver's breath, the report states.
A deputy arrived on scene and spoke with the driver. The deputy observed an odor of alcohol on his person, and also observed the man having red, watery eyes. The driver informed the deputy he had a drink Sunday night and could not say how much he drank or when his last drink was.
He agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test of .156. He was arrested for suspicion of a second DUI. His first conviction for DUI was in June 2018.
He was read a request for voluntary consent which he denied consent for both breath and blood testing. A Carson City judge granted a telephonic warrant for a single series of blood draws, the report states. Bail: $2,779.

— A 43-year-old man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 27, 2022 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $10,000 cash.
— A 43-year-old man, Robert Craig Reasoner, was arrested Sunday for two felony contempt of court warrants. Bail: $20,000 cash.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for Department of Alternative Sentencing violation of conditions. According to the booking report the man had been drinking and in possession of several hash gummies, both in violation of DAS conditions. Bail: $6,000 cash.
— A 68-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for suspicion of DUI, failure to maintain a traffic lane and stop sign violation.
According to the booking report a deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane, nearly colliding with several parked cars on the west side of the street. The vehicle also failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, the report states.
The deputy spoke with the driver and sole occupant, and could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. The man was asked if he had been drinking and he replied that he had three beers prior to driving away from a casino.
The officer asked the man to step outside the vehicle. There, the officer observed the man to have red, watery eyes, slurred speech and had an odor of alcohol coming from his person, the report states.
He submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .138 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he provided two evidentiary blood samples. Bail: $1,311.
