February 27, 2022 (All day) Carson City AYSO Region 140 tryouts will be held on Sunday, Feb, 20 and Sunday, Feb. 27 at Talents Athletic Center, 2749 N Carson Street, Unit B, Carson City. Please try to make one or both days if possible. Tryout times for each age group will be as follows for both days:

Kristy Dial, is a professional gourd artist and teacher with 25 years of experience. She is currently the president of the Nevada Gourd Society and is an AGS Certified Judge.

The unusual weather pattern that has brought plenty of sunshine but zero rain or snow precipitation to the Sierra and Carson City region since December will end, albeit briefly, late Monday into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Work truck stolen Sunday in Carson City has been recovered

A familiar truck in Carson City was stolen Sunday morning. A Hawkins Heating and Air Conditioning truck was stolen at around 8:30 a.m. from a parking area on Highway 50. Owner Steve Hawkins believes the thief most likely wanted the tools. The truck is similar to the one in the picture. It’s a 2018 Dodge truck. The license number is Nevada 042F74.

STATELINE, Nev. — Even with the challenges of losing 21 days of work due to the Caldor Fire, record October rain and December snow, shipping issues, and rising construction costs, the new Tahoe South Events Center is coming in on budget and on time with an anticipated completion date in January 2023.
