As a tree hugger, literally as well as figuratively, I’m loath to admit thoughts of cutting down a 40-plus year-old poplar or two have wandered through my brain. This goes along the lines of “How many leaves might I not have to rake if there was one less poplar? Two?”

Carson City to host first ever Board Games Convention in March at Fuji Park

A new Board Games Convention, Meeple Peak, is coming to Carson City in March, complete with live music, food trucks and all the games a person could imagine.

According to organizer Ron Dobyns, Meeple Peak is a convention for anyone who likes to play board games to come together and share their love of the hobby.

NV Energy seeks customer input to develop Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan

As part of its commitment to help achieve Gov. Steve Sisolak’s and the Nevada Legislature’s vision for Nevada’s new clean energy economy, NV Energy is investing up to $100 million to rapidly expand electric vehicle charging station infrastructure over the next three years through its Economic Recovery Transportation Electrification Plan and is launching the program by seeking public input on charging station locations and their knowledge of EVs.
