WNC to hold first paramedic graduation ceremony this Saturday at Carson City campus

Western Nevada College’s Paramedicine program has only been in existence since the start of the decade but already plans are in place to celebrate the graduation of 11 paramedics.

CARSON CITY — Tickets are available now for at-home crab feed party kits to benefit St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School as part of the school’s crab feed fundraiser to be held Saturday, March 6.

This year’s 18th annual crab feed has been reimagined as an at-home event, with drive-through pick-up of gourmet crab meal kits for guests to enjoy from the comfort and safety of home.

MINDEN — On Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at 8:15 a.m., Douglas County Sheriff's Office deputies observed a stolen white Dodge Challenger. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Mesa Police Department in Mesa, Arizona.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 that there are 2 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad County region. We are also reporting 13 new cases and 20 additional recoveries of COVID-19.

Douglas adopts Zoom Webinar as newest way for public to participate in public comment
