Carson City’s Junior Victory Rollers Roller Derby Team raising funds to Head to LA

The Carson Junior Victory Rollers are headed to the Shamblock Shake tournament hosted by Los Anarchists roller derby team to compete on behalf of our great city. It was an honor for us to be invited and we hope we can make you all proud and come back with a win.
Carson City Board of Supervisors to discuss grant funding, new Search and Rescue vehicles and more

On the docket for discussion is board appointments for wildlife management, a grant application for wildfire fuel reduction, vehicle donations, and more.
Carson City man arrested for multiple violations of temporary protective order

On Friday evening, deputies were dispatched to a residence to meet with a victim stating the man had attempted to make entry into her residence.
Extreme Places and Colonizing Space lecture at the Jack C. Davis Observatory

Thomas will talk about “Extreme Places” on Friday, Feb. 7 and “Colonizing Space” on Saturday, Feb. 8. other lectures are free to the public and begin at 6:30 p.m.; doors to the observatory open at 6 p.m.
