What Works: When is something 'worth it?'

I’ve been working long hours. I hired an assistant to help with some of the projects that I deemed “on the floor” so I could put my effort toward billable hours. It’s been quite the juggling act in 2020. I feel like I’m being given a life lesson in what’s important, what’s crucial, and what keeps me smiling. Oddly enough, they are not all one in the same. Yet, they all have something in common.

Alleged shooter of Carson Colony victim taken into custody

UPDATE: Just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon a man was taken into custody at a casino in the 900 block of South Carson Street. The suspect is linked to a shooting last night at the Carson Colony, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

Big changes ahead at Spooner Lake State Park with facility renovation, re-imagination

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. — Construction is set to begin in late May on the renovation and re-imagination of facilities at Spooner Lake State Park west of Carson City. A collaboration between Nevada State Parks, Nevada State Lands and the Tahoe Fund has been successful in securing funding and donations to complete plans for the 35-year-old park.

The Tuesday, Feb. 11 event is at the Carson Tahoe Medical Loop/Wellness Mile. Meet in the parking lot opposite Pesti Lane on Medical Parkway. We will walk on Medical Parkway around the hospital, and on neighborhood sidewalks around the hospital. Flashlight required.
