She makes excellent compost from fresh horse and chicken manures, which she combines with green vegetable, fruit and kitchen waste. She then turns it with her tractor. And, coming from a ranching family who grew their own food, she has an innate sense of how to garden successfully.
Tarp in line knocks out power to more than 2,000 NV Energy customers in Carson City
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 06/16/2019 - 12:16pmUPDATE 2:52PM: NV Energy continues to work on a power line issue which knocked out power to more than 2,000 customers at one point Sunday afternoon. NV Energy said the damage to equipment was caused by wind. A Carson City Fire Department battalion chief noted from the scene the outage may have been caused by a tarp in the power line. NV Energy says it should have power fully restored to around 150 customers remaining without power by 8 p.m.

UPDATE 1:50PM: NV Energy reports progress on the power line situation, with 145 customers without power as of 1:50 p.m.
