Prescription drug costs have skyrocketed at an alarming rate, rising faster than other goods and services in the U.S. since 2014. The increase in prices has left consumers with higher health care costs forcing them to make difficult decisions regarding their health. It has specifically hurt some of our most vulnerable populations – including our older generations on fixed incomes. This is especially concerning in my district, Assembly District 22, given its large aging population.

June 29, 2019 - 1:00pm Nevada Raider Nation - Carson City Chapter is holding a Membership Drive Barbecue from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Jimmy G's, 301 N. Carson St. in Carson City.
New members are welcome and current members are encouraged to attend and renew their annual membership. Cost is $20 per person.

Indie pop band The Belle Sounds will headline this year’s Capital City Brewfest. The annual event takes place Saturday, June 22, from 3 to 8 p.m. along Curry Street in Downtown Carson City. The band will perform beginning at 5 p.m. on the stage in McFadden Plaza.
Carson City emergency crews called to crash at North Carson and Long

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called to a crash Tuesday evening involving three vehicles at the intersection of North Carson and Long streets.
Carson City Library trustees open new search for director
