Cap City Baseball is getting the Fall season underway with signups, parent meeting

Cap City Baseball is preparing for the Fall season for boys ages 8 through 13. There will be a coach and volunteer meeting August 12, 6 p.m. and a parent meeting on August 17, 2021, 6 p.m. Both meetings will be at the John L. Harvey Field at Western Nevada College in Carson City.

AYSO Carson City Youth Soccer opens fall 2020 registration for kids of all ages

The AYSO Carson City Youth Soccer Region 140 organization is bringing excitement back to the state capitol.

Registration for the upcoming fall season is open for kids ages 3-18. Early bird registration ends July 15 and can be made online or in-person at Yogurt Beach, located at 3228 N. Carson St. in Carson City. In-person registration will be held Wednesday, July 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

District Court Judge to speak at Carson Dems' tele-luncheon

Obituary: Jeffrey Lee Thompson

Jeffrey L. Thompson passed unexpectedly on March 15, 2019 due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident.
Jeff was born Jan 17, 1957 in Jamestown, New York.

He was born to the late Melvin Thompson and Kay (Tolman) Thompson.

Apologies to all but Carson City BMX is postponing their Open House and start of racing to Easter weekend, April 20 and 21.
Track prep has been slow going but heck or high water pushing to make this happen. So now, Carson City BMX Open House is scheduled for Saturday, 20 April 2019, 1-4 pm and start our 2019 season on Sunday, 21 April 2019, signups 9-10 am (must be a USABMX member).

Sierra Lutheran student-athlete named Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year

In its 34th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company has announced Jared Marchegger of Sierra Lutheran High School as its 2018-19 Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year.

Marchegger is the second Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year to be chosen from Sierra Lutheran High School.

Carson City POP Warner: Tiny Mite Blue having a great season

Now underway, Carson City Pop Warner Youth Football and Cheerleading is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. It is the oldest youth football and cheerleading program in Northern Nevada. Each season, Pop Warner provide tackle football and cheerleading activities to approximately 300 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14.
