Resorts must check guests’ temperature upon arrival or have a medical professional on property at all times and require guests to complete a symptom self-assessment, according to an updated policy released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board as casinos gear up for reopening.

Nevada’s casinos could welcome back customers as soon as June 4, Gov. Steve Sisolak announced Friday afternoon.

We are a group of business owners that meet to come up with solutions to different issues like time management, learning about social media, and overcoming other obstacles in the community. The Nevada State Archives is providing a free basic preservation workshop on March 12, 2020 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The training will cover preserving documents and photos, storage methods for various types of records, as well as information about electronic records. No previous experience is required; this training is open to anyone who might be interested. The training will be held at the Nevada State Library and Archives Building, 100 N. Stewart Street, Carson City.

Nevada is home to more than 150 plant species that live exclusively in our state, including the Tiehm buckwheat, a rare desert wildflower that is only known to exist in particular geologic conditions in the Silver Peak Range of Esmeralda County.

More springlike weather around the capital city is ahead Ash Wednesday with a daytime high near 65. Events include a Real ID town hall meeting at the Carson City DMV, the economic impact of pro soccer in Northern Nevada will be featured at NNDA's Business Edge at Casino Fandango, Carson City Schools offers the first of three pre-kindergarten programs for parents and will also host a separate strategic plan meeting. Heading into the last weekend of January there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. The Carson Comedy Club hosts its first Military Appreciation Night on Friday at the Carson Nugget. Carson Valley’s 18th annual Eagles and AG Photo Contest will be underway and live music will keep the Silver State buzzing with excitement. Read on for more information.
