He was booked into Washoe County Jail on charges of DUI, domestic battery, violation of special speed limitations and disobeying an officer.

The Nevada Highway Patrol led a vehicle pursuit Thursday morning that ended north of Carson City with the suspect jumping out of the vehicle and fleeing on foot before being captured near the old Highway 395 exit.

Motorists can expect a slow, cautious commute Thursday morning as roads may be slippery from the new snow covering.
NDOT moves quickly with flood-related road repair contracts

The repairs follow tours of the damage taken by Governor Sandoval and local officials both before and after the flood.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, the NWS said, and a flood advisory continues for the area until 10 a.m.

Chains or snow tires are required on Interstate 580 in Carson City and Washoe County, particularly through Washoe Valley. Chains or snow tires are also required on U.S. Highway 50 East through Mound House and West up Spooner Summit, as well as U.S. Highway 395 South through the Carson Valley.
