Pine Nuts with McAvoy Layne: How old is the Sun?

In human years our sun is 38 years old, so in another five billion years it will run out of gas, and without any emotion to speak of, will accidently vaporize its old friend the Earth. But do not despair. An insurance policy is on the way. By then we will have figured out how to move to a new neighborhood — a new universe, for we are explorers.

Pine Nuts: The Art of Whistling

While waiting in line for a lift ticket this past winter I passed the time by whistling, "Born to Lose." Be that as it may, a mother and young son were walking by when the little guy asked, "Mom, why is that man whistling?"

"Because he's happy, Honey," she answered with a smile.

Event Date:
March 20, 2019 (All day)

My son and I just had the most amazing day! A friendly serviceman from The Happy Outlet just gave my son and I these delicious sugar cookies. When we asked why, they said just to see us smile, no strings attached. Well we certainly did! The serviceman told us that March 20th was International Happiness Day. When we got home I looked it up and sure enough, this is actually a UN-sanctioned day. I think this is awesome that a local company is taking the time to do something wonderful for our community. With so much hate and division, everyone needs this now more than ever!
