Brendan Hubbs-Whitney was found near the Chocolate Nugget candy factory in Washoe Valley by a woman who was on her way to Reno early Thursday morning. Read the News 4 story here.

An 11-year-old boy has been reported missing, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. At approximately 6:30 p.m., Wednesday the Carson City Sheriff’s Office received a report that a child was missing from his home near the corner of Betts and Boyle Street, west of the South Carson auto dealerships and adjacent to the Carson Colony.

Break a leg to the Douglas students performing in ‘Game of Tiaras’ this weekend; the show sounds hilarious, but be warned, it’s not for kids. Both skiers were wet and cold but otherwise escaped injuries.

Proceeds from the campaign, “You’ve Been Givted,” went to four local charities: Awaken Reno, a human trafficking awareness organization; PetNetwork, a Tahoe-based animal shelter; Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT), a local grassroots effort; and the Reno-Tahoe area Meals on Wheels organization.
