What a weekend of community fellowship this was among Carson City locals and we're just getting started, counting down the days until Christmas.
Downtown Carson City shines Friday and Saturday with Christmas light

The first three photos are of the Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights celebration and were taken by Lynn McCarthy. The final set of photos, taken by Cathleen Allison of Nevada Momentum, are of Saturday night's Holiday Crawl, in support of the Holiday with a Hero campaign. The final photo from FISH is at the Project Empty Bowls event held Saturday at the Carson Mall.
Carson City man jailed for suspected domestic battery, threats and being a habitual criminal

The Silver and Snowflakes Festival has been the official beginning of the holiday season for years, with the lighting of the great Christmas tree on Capitol grounds. Keep an eye out for Santa Claus, the Grinch, Max the dog, and Carson City's 5th graders who will be singing their hearts out while the tree is lit!
