Pet photos with Santa to benefit Catmandu

Get a special holiday picture of your pet with Santa and help the kitties of Catmandu at the same time. Santa will be at Petco, 911 Topsy Lane in Carson City, on Saturday, Dec. 7, and agains Saturday and Sunday Dec. 14-15, from 1 to 4 p.m. to take pictures with your pets.

The donation of $9.95 goes to Catmandu, Carson City's cage-free cat shelter. You will receive a digital picture that you can print or send as often as you like. Merry Fluffmas from Catmandu!

The kids of Wild Horse Children’s Theater continue their successful run of Junie B. Jones at the Brewery Arts Center - it’s their final weekend, so don’t miss out. Maddie’s Adoption Days is a state-wide event trying to find forever homes for dogs and cats; you’ll find several local shelters and rescues participating in the free adoption days.

Petco Foundation Invests in Pets of the Homeless’ service and therapy animals

Pets of the Homeless, a Carson City-based, national organization has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support its emergency veterinary care program to service and therapy animals that belong to the homeless.
