Youth Theatre Carson City is thrilled to announce auditions for "Shrek: The Musical, Jr." The show will run eight performances, January 17-26, 2020 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center. We are looking for actors, singers, and dancers grades K-12, who will be cast to play a host of colorful fractured fairytale characters!

Wild Horse Children’s Theater in Carson City will hold an audition workshop for Disney's "Frozen, Jr.'" on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Brewery Arts Center.

With those words — actually from a song written by Kris Kristofferson, one of Bocephus’ few still-living rowdy friends — Hank Williams Jr. brought an epic concert to a close Saturday night at the Nugget Events Center, the new 8,500-seat amphitheater in downtown Sparks.

With only 4 concerts left in the season, grab your family, friends and neighbors and get ready to head on down to Carson City and Brewery Arts Center’s newest community treasure.

Carson City’s Pride event “Sassabration” is back this Saturday with a full line up of bands, vendors, food, family-friendly activities and more!

Hosted by Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint, the annual event is back for its 5th year and begins at 11 a.m. with a parade at the Brewery Arts Center, located at 449 West King Street. Cars, Rollerskaters, Pirate Ship Sailors and Walkers are invited to participate!

Hello Carson City and welcome to Wednesday, July 10, 2019. We're looking at plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and an extraordinary musical lineup today at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Carson City for the 11th annual Concert Under the Stars benefit for The Greenhouse Project. There's also art showings, Wheeled Food Wednesday at the BAC and more.

A Carson City live music favorite, Concert Under the Stars, is set to soar this Wednesday night. With hours ticking, construction was well underway Tuesday at Eagle Valley Golf Course at Centennial Park, a new venue for the show and its future.

Helping with set up was John Procaccini, who produces the concert for The Greenhouse Project and helped start the blockbuster event with Charlie and Karen Abowd more than a decade ago, with its beginnings in the Cafe at Adele's parking lot.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Arts Council announced Friday the awarding of more than $1 million in statewide grants to 172 recipients ranging from individual artists to nonprofit organizations and public institutions for the 2020 fiscal year.

Heading into the Independence Day holiday weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region to keep the next three days jam-packed with excitement.

Happy Sunday Carson City! There are plenty of activities and events around the Carson City region to help transition back into the work week. The third and final day of Carson City Off-Road cruises to downtown Carson City with Pro Men and Women Backcountry races starting at 7:30 a.m. Muscle Powered will hold its weekly Sunday bicycle ride at Fremont Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

On June 28th my wife and I where honored to go watch a musical, a musical that was filled with so much music, joy, sadness and most of hope. The singers did an amazing job of fulling the roles they where chosen for. The music that they sang and danced to was one of the hardest scores that has ever played on Broadway.

Here is the best part, the cast was made up by young adults, younger adults and small children. The name of the musical is called "Newsies" It is being performed by the Wild Horse Children's Theater of Carson City.
