On Saturday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. the Dangberg Home Ranch Celtic Faire will be the final special event of the 2019 Dangberg Summer Festival. A celebration of the Irish, Scottish and Welsh people who helped to settle Carson Valley will offer a day filled with entertainment and activities for all ages.

Tahoe/Douglas Elks Lodge is sponsoring free concert by Re-Creation, the full performance singing and dancing group in Minden on Sunday September 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the CVIC Hall, 1604 Esmeralda Ave.

Re-Creation presents sparkling, energetic professional entertainment by eleven exciting young performers who offer dynamic vocal renditions of America's best-loved songs and enliven the stage with intricate, disciplined dance and choreography.

The annual Carson City Fair — a combination of carnival, agriculture, local exhibits and entertainment — is returning to the Nevada state capital July 25-29, 2018 at the Fuji Park Fairgrounds.

One event that is never afraid of Mother Nature is the Downtown Carson City Wine Walk. Come rain, shine, or blizzard, you’ll find can sip, stroll, and discover starting at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Carson Hot Springs aren’t afraid of a little snow, and a special visit from Megan the Mermaid will make the icy hot experience more memorable. The Brewery Arts Center (BAC) amped up an already busy holiday weekend in Carson City with its weekly Levitt-AMP Concert Saturday evening.

As part of this weekend's Spring Street Vibrations held around the Northern Nevada region, Battle Born Harley Davidson in Carson City is celebrating its grand opening now through Sunday, June 5.

The 3rd and Curry Saturday Farmer's Market opened today as a crowd of visitors flocked to the rows upon rows of fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as homemade baked goods, meats, arts, crafts, and hot food.

The good, old summer time appears to have started early in the Eagle Valley.

Not only has Mother Nature bucked the seasonal calendar by introducing mid-summer temperatures approaching 100 degrees, but the 3rd and Curry Farmer's Market welcomes its 2016 season Saturday in downtown Carson City.

Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11 are the dates for the 34th Annual Eldorado Great Italian Festival on North Virginia Street in downtown Reno. If you have never attended the festival, you have missed out on a great way to enjoy a Saturday or Sunday (or both) in early October.

Local musical duo, In Stride, will play and sing a variety of traditional and original music pieces at Comma Coffee from noon to 2 pm Oct. 8. Mountain dulcimers, electric mandolin, recorders and more.

Lake Tahoe Entertainment presents their 13th Annual Community Holiday Show “JOYFUL NOISE” at the Brewery Arts Center Black Box Theater, Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.

It’s a musical evening of smiles and inspiration! Who will join the Conga line this year? Experience “down-home” comfort and joy with these talented performers. Aside from some heartfelt traditional songs, there is the annual “Christmas Conga” a “Santa Train” experience, and even a Reggae tune.

Salute to the Military concert, "Musical Memories: Pearl Harbor and World War II," with a bit of Christmas cheer on Dec. 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson Community Center, 851 E. Williams St.

UPDATE: Help out a Carson City area nonprofit built on giving families a hand up and find some great bargains on fine jewelry and stones, clothing, art and more at a fundraiser this Saturday, June 14, at Thunder Canyon Country Club in Washoe Valley.

The Capital City Circles Initiatives will host "Gem of a Fundraiser" from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The Capital City Circles Initiative is a nonprofit community-based program that assists families living in poverty to achieve their goal of self-sufficiency through education, support networking and friendships with members in the community.

Christmas and holiday lights will illuminate the Capitol Building and downtown Friday night when Carson City flips the switch at the annual Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights celebration.

The event brings thousands to downtown Carson City marking the city's official kick off of the Christmas and holiday season. Festivities begin at the capitol grounds, 5:30 p.m. where more than 300 voices of the Carson City 5th Grade Music Students Singing Ensemble will provide musical entertainment.

Stephanie Arrigotti has been directing and producing shows for the Western Nevada Musical Theater Company at WAC for several years and every year she brings greater casts and more entertaining shows to the Community Center in Carson City. Friday night she opened "The Phantom of the Opera" to an enthusiastic audience with possibly the biggest first-night numbers in the theater group's history.

And the audience got what it came for — a beautifully staged and directed show with a cast of very talented actors.

With enough cannon fire, frontier food and Wild West living history to pack a weekend's worth of activities, the 28th annual Carson City Rendezvous continues today, tonight and through Sunday at Mills Park in Carson City.

The Carson City Rendezvous is noted for portraying the lifestyle of early Nevada settlers, with a host of gun skirmishes, mountain man encampments and trapping demonstrations. This year the main demonstration of the Civil War-era gun battles has been moved from afternoon to dusk to better capture the backdrop of live-fire, rounds shot from muskets and cannons.

The 28th annual Carson City Rendezvous, the area’s largest special event, returns Friday through Sunday to celebrate the wild west and Civil War era history.

The 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's presidential inauguration is just one of many new events for the free three-day Civil War-era living history set at Mills Park, according to a news release issued by the Carson City Visitors Bureau.

The opening ceremony will be a special re-enactment of the inauguration of Abraham Lincoln, the nation’s 16th president, at Mills Park on Saturday at 10 a.m.
