A northern Nevada developer announced plans Wednesday to build a Hyatt Place hotel at The Summit in South Reno.

NDOT to begin lane closures starting Wednesday on Upper Mt. Rose Highway

CARSON CITY — Beginning Wednesday, intermittent daytime lane closures will take place on Mt. Rose Highway, State Route 431 in areas near Incline Village and Mt Rose Ski Resort as the Nevada Department of Transportation improves roadside guardrail and resurfaces sections of the roadway.

Talented Carson City area musicians perform March 22 to benefit Carson High bands

The Slide Fire that started Sunday afternoon from a crashed recreational aircraft where one person died, is 15 percent contained as of early Monday evening, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
