March taxable sales in Nevada up 5 percent; Carson City sees 10.9 percent increase

In Carson City, taxable sales increased by 10.9 percent, largely due to the Nevada Legislative session.

The short ceremony will be held at the Vietnam Memorial, located at Carson City's Mills Park in the southeast corner. The park may be accessed from either Saliman Road or Seely Loop, across from Carson High School.

“North Lake Tahoe is unique in that we have a series of fireworks events held throughout the region,” said Chief Marketing Officer Andy Chapman of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association. “Visitors to the area can take their pick in terms of when and where or enjoy more than one show during their stay.”

Nevada taxable sales up for 8th straight month

Carson City saw a 10.4 percent increase over last year, likely because of the State Legislature session.
