Gaming Control Board files complaint against AA Gaming, license holder of High Sierra Brewery

Nevada Gaming Control Board has filed a complaint against AA Gaming and owner Alan H. Adams, which operates 17 slot machines at High Sierra Brewery, for failure to submit reports about changes in personnel at the establishment.

According to the complaint, AA Gaming did not submit required reports to the board from the time the company received its gaming license in June 2008 to present.

At the time the license was issued, the establishment was doing business as Doppelganger's, owned by Adams, former co-owner of the Carson Nugget.

Downtown Carson City lights up for Christmas

Downtown Carson City celebrated the start of the holiday season with the annual Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights.

Streets were closed off as throngs of people gathered in front of the state capitol to watch as the lights for the two giant Christmas trees were turned on.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived on the back of an antique fire truck, with Mayor Bob Crowell riding shotgun. After the state's trees were turned on, the crowd headed over to the First Presbyterian Church where the city's Christmas tree was turned on.
