A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning at the Carson City Community Center for suspicion of battery on a protected person and resisting a police officer with violence, both gross misdemeanor offenses.

Tribute to Chile Bartels, a Kid Set Apart

Chile Irwin Bartels was born on March 17, 1997 to Amy Jo and Jason Bartels. He was the middle child sandwiched between his two sisters, Wednesday and Willow, and the beloved grandson of Colleen Mortimer, Marshall Bartels, Judy and John Procaccini.

Chile was a faithful son and was at his family’s side whenever they needed him. Chile’s BIG spirit and personality could barely be contained by his six foot, four-inch frame. He had a special gift for making his sisters laugh, and for teasing them unmercifully. The three of them loved sharing movie and Mario Kart marathons.
