Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada score with Tice-Pegram Carson Valley partnership

Mike Tice, offensive line coach for the Oakland Raiders football team brought his A-game to his 7th annual charity golf tournament weekend in June featuring the entire Raiders coaching staff, including head coach Jack Del Rio and a spate of former NFL players from around the country. The event doubled its take this year, including a match from Carson Valley Inn owner, Mike Pegram to over $300,000.

Open to kids of all ages, they will bike, run, and swim their way to the finish line. The third annual Sassabration event kicks off with a multi-colored, costume bike parade from the Brewery Arts Center to the celebration at Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint. Multiple bands, vendors, non-profit booths, free swimming at the Carson Hot Springs, not to mention the yummy food and drink available make this a not-to-be-missed festival.

Kick start your bike and head to Battle Born Harley; their Bike Night features live music by the Smoken Rabbits. Carson City gaming revenue down slightly in July, Lake Tahoe soars

Gaming revenue in the Carson City area fell 1.54 percent in July compared to the same time last year, while statewide gambling profits show a nearly 10 percent increase, according to figures released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
