Ahead Friday is the annual KTVN Share Your Christmas Drive-By Food Drive held locally at the Governor's Mansion and at Minden's Carson Valley Inn. It is also the 6th annual Project Empty Bowls at Carson Mall, which has become a local soup for the soul favorite stop.

Light snow showers will continue today and and pick up tonight with less than an inch possible. As always be careful out on the roads. New Carson City Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation hosts first banquet at Carson Nugget

The Mule Deer Foundation is a conservation organization headquartered in Salt Lake City with local chapters throughout the western states. Volunteers and the money we raise, have been used for re-seeding fire areas, fixing or installing water guzzlers in desert areas, removal of old fencing that may impede migration or entangle animals.
