Watch live: Today Show's Al Roker keynotes Monday's Tahoe weather conference

Al Roker of NBC’s "Today Show" fame will discuss his passion, interest and concerns about climate change, as well as his storied career as keynote speaker at Operation Sierra Storm, the annual television meteorologists’ conference at Lake Tahoe. The public is invited to tune in via Facebook to watch Roker on Monday, Jan. 25.

Carson City Sheriff's Office requests public's help in locating runaway juvenile

On December 14, 2020 Xavier Pierce ran away from his home in Carson City. Xavier is believed to be in the Carson City area and may be riding a red bicycle.

On Thursday morning, December 17, 2020 Xavier’s mother discovered his wet clothing in their garage and it appeared he changed his clothing. Xavier does not have any medical problems and is not considered at risk.

Xavier has returned to his mother’s home on at least two different occasions, the most recent being on January 4, 2021.

Xavier’s mother believes he is coming to the home when she is gone to change clothes.

Carson City woman arrested for pushing boyfriend after he allegedly crashed her car on purpose

A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 2800 block of U.S. Highway 50 E. for suspicion of domestic battery after pushing her boyfriend after he allegedly crashed her car, something she said he did on purpose because she was going to break up with him, according to a sheriff's office booking report. The boyfriend was also arrested by the Nevada Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.
