Let me tell you, there’s plenty of fun to come! Tonight, you can check out Mo’z Motley Blues at the Brewery Arts Center or the Whitehats at Westside Pour House. It’s also opening night for the kids of Youth Theater Carson City: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is at the Community Center at 7 p.m.

Busy weekend ahead! It’s a wine walk weekend in addition to the Easter festivities, but don't let Friday pass you by. Head to Sassafras tonight to catch the Trippin King Snakes or Living the Good Life for music by Jamie Rollins. If it’s laughs you're after, First Friday Improv at the Brewery Arts Center will have you in stitches or head to the Carson Nugget for comedy night with this week’s funnyman, Huck Flyn.

It’s the International Day of Happiness and I hope song and dance make you happy. Carson City is awash with live music and theater tonight. Local favorite Stereo Galaxy teams up with Southern California performer, Loc Lion, for a show at Sassafras. You’ll find the Remains at Westside Pour House, and Jaime Rollins keeps it rollin at Living the Good Life. Just Sayin’ is this months featured talent in the Brewery Arts Center’s Eclectic Electric Series.

Are you ready to paint the town green? St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaches and there will be plenty of Irish action throughout town. The festivities start this weekend with the annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fest in Virginia City, complete with a parade and saloon crawl.

Something new has been brewing at the Nugget and you are welcome to the grand opening and ribbon cutting Friday. Come for happy hour from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.; Bob Crowell and Assemblyman P.K. O’Neill will be on hand to cut the ribbon at 7 p.m.

Happy Friday, Carson City. Grab a bite at Meek’s Lumber at their first Friday BBQ for lunch, or at the Lions Club Crab Feed at Fuji Park tonight. Cheer on the Western Nevada College Wildcats as they battle Salt Lake City Community College on the softball and baseball fields.

We have almost made it to the weekend. Let visions of the Downtown Wine Walk, CASI’s Woof, Wine, and Whiskers, and the kick-off of Carson Comedy at the Carson Nugget keep you buoyant until then. Just don’t be in such a hurry to enjoy the weekend that you miss out on what Thursday in Carson City can offer.

A world recorder holder will be on stage live, March 27, 7:30 p.m. at the Carson Comedy club inside the Carson Nugget. Geechy Guy landed himself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records record when he told 676 jokes in one hour.

Geech was invited to San Francisco to compete in the prestigious Comedy where he finished in the top 10 out of 500 comics, two years in a row. Shortly after Geech secured a spot on TV’s “Star Search,” (where he beat Ray Romano among others) and went on to set the record for the most appearances by a comedian.

Steve Simeone is known for leaving a lasting impact on his audience, one full of laughs, emotion and moving moments they will remember for years to come.

Last fall marked Steve Simeone's Comedy Central debut on Gabriel Iglesias' “Stand Up Revolution" as well as the release of his eagerly anticipated CD "Remember this for when you get Sad,” a compilation of some of his most loved material.

Multi tasking is easy for Kevin Farley - he does it all with a fabulously contagious sense of humor, both on screen and off.

Farley has been seen in films such as Tommy Boy and Black Sheep. He played a starring role as "Doug Linus" on MTV's sitcom 2gether where he was met with rave reviews.

Carson Comedy is expanding into Carson City and is partnering with the Carson Nugget to further its mission to spread laughter in Northern Nevada. The venue will officially open on Friday, March 6 with fan favorite Sean Peabody at 7:30pm.

Producer Wayne Wright expressed enthusiasm about the new launch on March 6th, stating, “Good comedy is hard to find in Northern Nevada. As long as there is a need for laughter, I will keep bringing in comedians to entertain.”
