A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of driving under the influence causing substantial bodily harm, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Sunday evening to a single vehicle rollover accident near Bigelow Drive and Snyder Avenue in south Carson City.

Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol were called early Sunday evening to a vehicle accident in the northbound lane of I-580 south of the Arrowhead exit.

A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 900 block of Carson Street for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a suspended sentence and battery, a sheriff's deputy said.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called early Wednesday afternoon to the 4000 block of East Nye Lane for a report of smoke inside the attic of a residence.

Carson City Fire Department was called Wednesday morning to the area of South Curry and Clearview streets for a gas leak.

UPDATE: One person was flown by Care Flight after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near the intersection of Research and College Parkway, said Carson City Battalion Chief Jason Danen. The injured person was not in the vehicle that caught fire, he said.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday morning to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Research Way and College Parkway in which one of the vehicles involved was fully engulfed with fire.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Monday afternoon to a motorcycle accident involving a vehicle in the 1200 block of East Long Street.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Monday morning to a small brush fire off of Carson River Road on the west side of Sierra Vista Lane near Silver Saddle Ranch.

UPDATE: As of 2 pm, the Carson City Fire Department has closed the Dump and is turning people away, according to Carson Now photographer Tanja Musselman who was on scene.

The Carson City Fire Department was called to a trash fire at the Carson City Dump just after 1:30 pm on Saturday.

The fire appeared to originate within a trash pile on the top of the hill. According to firefighters on scene, the fire was burning an area of 20 by 25 feet.

As of 1:45 it had not reached nearby brush but instead was contained within the trash pile.

According to Carson Now reader Brian DiViccaro, a fire broke out early this morning off of Koontz Lane in Carson City.

The fire was located at a back building of KB Skulls Taxidermy, which was engulfed in flames by the time DiViccaro drove past. He called 911 and the Carson City Fire Department soon arrived on scene and broke it down.

The building appeared to be unoccupied, according to DiVaccaro.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

UPDATE 7:18AM: Carson City Fire Department knocked down a fire at Cafe at Adele's early Thursday morning. The fire caused damage to a storage room located in the back of the restaurant. No one was at the restaurant at the time and there were no injuries, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. The cause is under investigation.

A fire has been reported at Cafe at Adele's on North Carson Street. The fire was reported at 5:19 a.m. by a security guard working for another company who passed by the restaurant and saw smoke. Firefighters are on the scene.

The fire was in the rear of the building, and chef/owner Charlie Abowd said it appears to have started in the laundry storage area. The building was built in 1864, and the restaurant has been in the Abowd family for 41 years.
