The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) reminds campers, anglers and hikers enjoying the outdoors to take precautions to limit black bear encounters.
A key element to safe camping and recreating in bear country is to limit food odors that attract bears.

— The 2011 non-resident annual fishing license is $116.90, and it is good through Dec. 31, 2011.
— A one-day resident or non-resident license is $14.04.
— A two-day resident or non-resident license is $21.86.
— A 10-day non-resident license is $43.46.
Second-Rod Stamp:
A Second-Rod Stamp is $13.53.

DFG advises to leave young wildlife alone

The Department of Fish and Game (DFG) recommends that people not handle any young wild animals they see in the outdoors.
The improper handling of young wildlife is a problem in California and across the nation, most commonly in the spring, when many species are caring for their offspring. People frequently encounter young wild animals they think need assistance or have been orphaned. However, in most cases neither assumption is true and the animals should be left alone.
KARSON KRUZERS YARD SALE

Rayna, 21, was killed in an auto accident Friday, March 18th, on Hwy 50 East. When Rayna died her family was still trying to cope with the death of her Grandfather, W. Ray King, who was killed just eight weeks prior in a freak accident in Redding, CA.

The public is invited to testify at an upcoming public meeting about salmon populations and the 2011 ocean and river salmon fisheries.
The 2011 Salmon Information Meeting, sponsored by the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG), will be held March 1 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Sonoma County Water Agency Building located at 404 Aviation Boulevard in Santa Rosa.

Midget football Snow Bowl fundraiser

Under the terms of the agreement, Utility will acquire customers throughout the Reno, Carson City and Douglas-county markets, and will add a substantial DSL footprint to Utility’s existing Nevada network which includes a 2.5 Gigabit-per-second fiber-optic network linking Reno, Carson City and Fernley.
Nugget Project update: a look at the Meridian report

The one big item missing in that story was the Meridian Business Advisors feasibility study itself, which we now have a copy of.
