The 2022 Silver & Snowflakes Festival and Tree Lighting Festival is coming up on Friday, December 4th, and the Nevada Builders Foundation will be on hand to help keep you warm! Cocoa and coffees with all the fixin's (with or without alcohol) will be available for sale starting at 4:00PM outside the Bank Saloon at 418 South Carson Street, Carson City. All proceeds benefit the Foundation.

John Palmore on The Brother Dan Show, November 14

Monday marks the appearance of music industry veteran John Palmore on The Brother Dan Show. This talented keyboardist/singer served as musical director for Bill Pinkney’s “Original Drifters” for many years. That experience led to international touring and playing with artists such as Jackie Wilson, Mary Wells, Wilson Pickett, Percy Sledge, and The Platters.

Guitar virtuoso Mick Valentino will be featured on the October 24 episode of The Brother Dan Show, live from the Bank Saloon in Carson City.

Host Brother Dan Palmer will be joined by multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Kennemur for an afternoon of music, chat, and storytelling at the Bank Saloon on Monday. The show welcomes a live audience, and streams weekly on Facebook at the host’s music page: Brother Dan Palmer.

Local business owner/guitarist Mike Epps of A to Zen will be featured on this week’s edition of The Brother Dan Show.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region. The November Gobble Wine Walk kicks off in downtown Carson City followed by a new “Paths and Pedals” bike tour. Heading into the final weekend of October, Halloween and Nevada Day events will keep revelers busy through Sunday making for a jam packed weekend of fun for families and grownups around the Carson City region.

The Nevada Builders Alliance, owner of the Bank Saloon, has requested assistance by the Brewery Arts Center to solicit proposals from local artists to beautify the electric transformer box located at their property on the corner of Carson and 5th streets. The owners of the property are looking for designs that will go with the established aesthetic of both inside and outside of the bank saloon.

After the Nevada Builder’s Association began work on the former Jack’s Bar site in May of 2017, construction workers and carpenters overcame many obstacles including asbestos, 300 residing pigeons, and historic Carson City preservation guidelines.

Nevada Builders Alliance, owner of the Bank Saloon building in Carson City, have announced that Mangia Tutto owner Richard Bragiel will be the new operator of the historic location.

The bar, which is scheduled to open in October 2020, has undergone extensive renovations since it was purchased by the Builders Alliance in 2018. Nevada Builders Alliance, the state’s largest construction trade association, has partnered with Heritage Bank of Nevada to complete a renovation of the historic building, formerly Jack’s Bar, in downtown Carson City.

The Nevada Builders Alliance held a reception Monday for its board of directors and Carson City dignitaries at the former Jack's Bar on South Carson Street, renamed The Bank Saloon.

Carson City is getting better at preserving its history after losing some of its most iconic structures to neglect and disuse. Think the V&T Roundhouse and Children’s Home, though there were many more historic structures that met the wrecking ball ultimately changing how Carson Street looks today.

A "first nail ceremony," similar to a groundbreaking ceremony, was held Monday evening at the historic Bank Saloon, formerly Jack's Bar, and renovations are officially underway.

Nevada Builders Alliance, the state’s largest construction and building trade association, will hold a first nail ceremony for the Bank Saloon in Carson City on Monday, April 15. Formerly known as the historic Jack’s Bar, the alliance purchased the building with a vision to pay homage to its colorful history.

The Nevada Builders Association will host a “First Nail Ceremony” and give tours of the forthcoming and re-named Bank Saloon, formerly Jack's Bar, in downtown Carson City next month.

Carson City’s own Miles Construction has set itself apart in its field of being at the forefront of Nevada’s future industries, as well as preserving the buildings with historic significance to our community.

Miles Construction has been around since 1986, and recently has been behind many of the projects making the news time and again for both innovation and preservation.

The Nevada Builder’s Alliance took ownership of the historic Jack’s Bar earlier this year and CEO Aaron West is dedicated to turning it into a prime location for downtown Carson City.

According to West, the damage to the interior was so severe from years of misuse and decay, that the only parts to remain of the original establishment will be the exterior stone walls and cast iron columns.
