The Nevada State Museum and Western Nevada College in Carson City are once again teaming up to present a Day of the Dead community celebration on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the museum.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free. Activities include performances by Mexican and Aztec folkloric dancers, an exhibition of altars, and Day of the Dead crafts including sugar skull decorating and face painting for youngsters.

Capital Ford awards Carson High bands $8,000 from Drive 4UR School fundraiser

Carson High School band students were awarded a check for $8,000 from Capital Ford in Carson City Friday night following a successful Drive 4UR School fundraiser held Sept. 15 from which students were able to raise the maximum amount, said Capital Ford Internet and Customer Relations Manager Heidi Aiazzi.
