Washoe Tribal Police requested the presence of Carson City Sheriff's Office in the area of Curry and Oneida streets Saturday evening in an incident involving two fugitives and a woman who were believed to be barricaded inside a residence.
It was unknown at the time if the woman was being held against her will, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. The FBI was notified as the incident is on Washoe Tribal property, which is the jurisdiction of Washoe Tribal police, the Bureau of Indian affairs and federal law enforcement.
Law enforcement had attempted to communicate with those inside. The public wasn't in any danger, said Furlong.
