Nevada State Prison Preservation Society hosts Saturday membership meeting
The Nevada State Prison Preservation Society’s annual membership meeting will start at 10 a.m. Saturday in the old prison’s courtroom.
The meeting is open to non-members as well as members and will include a presentation on development of historic prisons across the country, in addition to reports on the NSPPS’s progress.
More information about NSPPS is available at the organization’s web site, www.nspps.org, including an application to join the group.
NSPPS is a nonprofit volunteer organization working to preserve the 1862-built prison, located on Fifth Street near Highway 395 in Carson City, as a museum and landmark.
