Carson City businesses reach out to veterans, military
Carson City businesses stepped up in a big way to show their support for active duty military and veterans Friday during the Veterans Day observance.
Several area restaurants offered free or discounted meals and refreshments to service members and veterans with valid military identification.
RISE dispensary donated 10 percent of its sales Friday to the Northern Nevada Veterans Resource Center in Carson City, while Capital Barber Shop donated the day's entire proceeds to Honor Flight Nevada.
Many other local businesses reached out to veterans and military service personnel Friday by offering them discounted or even complimentary services in celebration of the Veterans Day holiday.
