Eyes on Carson City: Halloween around town
Ask the average person where to find the most elaborate Halloween decorations in the Nevada state capital, and you will undoubtedly be directed to 606 N. Mountain Street.
Halloween at the Nevada Governor's Mansion has long been a Carson City tradition, especially trick-or-treating for candy handed out personally by the state's chief executive and the First Lady.
But drive around some of the other neighborhoods in Carson City, and you may well find yard decorations that rival -- or even surpass -- those found in the governor's front yard.
Here is a sampling of decorations I found traveling around South, West and East Carson City today. I know there were many more to see, but there's also only so much time in a day.
If yours didn't make it in, feel free to submit photos to Carson Now using the "submit stories/photos" tab on the tool bar. Otherwise, be sure to drop me a note next year, tipping me off to some of the most outstanding Halloween decorations found in Carson City.
