Did you feel it? Small earthquake overnight northeast of Carson City, south of Dayton
A magnitude 2.65 earthquake was recorded late Thursday night approximately 2.4 miles south of Dayton, northeast of Carson City, according to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.
The small shaker happened at 11:35 p.m. at a depth of 6.05 kilometers and was followed by a much smaller one, a magnitude 1.2, recorded at 12:40 a.m. Friday morning in the same area, according to the laboratory.
Some people on social media said they felt a small jolt late Thursday night.
The same location experienced a small earthquake, with a magnitude of 1.59, at around 2:04 a.m. Thursday.
