Carson City woman jailed on felony witness intimidation charge

A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday and faces a felony charge of intimidating a witness.
Rebecca Taylor was booked into Carson City Jail at 2:20 p.m. and is being held on $15,000 bail.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to 400 Saliman Road. Carson City dispatch informed deputies that Taylor had bail conditions not to meet with a man and that she had been at his residence.

At around 11:40 a.m. Taylor entered the residence and began to speak with the man, according to the arrest report. She asked the man to drop the charges or not show in court. The man told Taylor that the matter was out of his hands, the arrest report states.

The man reported the woman began to cry and became upset. She then allegedly told him "you have not seen crazy yet mother f*****," according to the arrest report. The woman then lunged at the man, at which time he called the sheriff's office, prompting her to leave, the report states.

The man showed officers several text message from Taylor. One of the text was on Oct. 11 that stated "don't talk to the DA," the arrest report states. There were also several voice messages from Taylor on the man's phone.

At around 2:15 p.m. officers met with Taylor in the parking lot of the Carson City courthouse, took her into custody and booked her into jail. Inside the jail, officers conducted an inventory of contents in her purse and located the cell phone which was taken for evidence.

In other arrests:

A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Oct. 15, 8:17 a.m. in the 2000 block of Marian Avenue. He faces a gross misdemeanor charge of being in violation of a temporary protection order.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street in reference to a compliant about the suspect. The victim stated he is employed at Walmart and advised that while working outside in the parking lot collecting carts, the suspect, who has the temporary order, drove by the victim.

The victim told officers the TPO was against the man for harassment. The victim stated he observed the man drive into the parking lot through the west entrance and then drive directly in front of Walmart, the arrest report states.

Officers responded to the Marian Avenue address, met with the man and questioned him about being at Walmart. The man stated he was aware of the TPO and knows he is not supposed to be at Walmart. He denied being at Wamart and then, after further questioning, admitted to driving through the Walmart parking lot, telling the officer he left once he realized he was not supposed to be there. Bail: $1,137.

— A 20-year-old Carson City woman was booked into Carson City Jail on Oct. 15, 6:20 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of conditions, failure to provide proof of community service completion. Bail: $1,000.

— A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 9:40 p.m. in the 2300 block of North Carson Street on Oct. 15. He faces misdemeanor charges of being in violation of a restraining order and probation violation. He allegedly wen to a residence and took keys to a van and then took the van. The victim advised man was on a restraining order. The victim declined to press charges regarding the van. Bail: $4,137.

Those arrested and facing charge are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Traffic was slow going in Carson City along Highway 50 East following two crashes Tuesday, according to Nevada State Police. There was a crash reported at around 3:50 p.m. on US-50 East and Nye Lane. There was a second crash at 5:18 p.m. reportedly near US-50 and Brown Street.
