Man jailed on misdemeanor drug charge, tells officers he wanted to kill people

A Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge after a bizarre verbal exchange with law officers outside the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on Musser Street.

According to the arrest report, officers located a blue GMC Yukon truck with Nevada license plates parked at the gate entrance of the sheriff’s office. The driver of the vehicle was standing by the side door holding onto the vehicle. He approached a deputy with his pants falling down exposing his buttocks and told the officer he was not wearing underwear and needed to be taken to jail.

The man told the officer that he had been drinking all day, that he didn’t care, and that he was Jesus Christ who wanted to see a blood bath, according to the arrest report. Deputies gave the man several commands which the man followed. He was placed into handcuffs for safety reasons. Once detained he explained how he needed treatment for mental issues, the arrest report states.

He said if he wasn’t locked he would go to an address on Spartan Avenue and kill everyone inside the home, according to the arrest report. He started laughing after the comment and said he wanted to kill a family because everyone needed to die, the arrest report states.

Officers asked the man if he takes prescription medication. The man said he did but has been out for some time, the arrest report states. Officers asked if he was serious about killing the people he spoke about. The man again laughed and stated sheriff’s deputies would be responding to a blood bath, the arrest report states.

Officers asked the man to submit to a preliminary breath test. He complied and provided a sample of .000, the arrest report states. He was placed under a legal 2000 and searched. Officers located a small bag of marijuana inside the man’s front pant pocket. He was arrested at 1:43 a.m. on the marijuana charge, a misdemeanor. It was secured as evidence. Bail: $632. No other information was available.

In other arrests:
— A 42-year-old Carson City woman, Sally Jean Whooley, was arrested Wednesday, 11:12 p.m. in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East on felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
A 51-year-old man ws also arrested on a misdemeanor charge of violation of conditions set by the Department of Alternative Sentencing.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to a casino in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East in reference to a possible drug transaction that happened.
Officers made contact with a red Cadillac with Nevada plates occupied by four people. Officers noted the 51-year old man had a “no alcohol” clause condition through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. The man had been drinking. Alternative Sentencing advised they wanted him arrested, the report states.

While speaking with the man, officers noted Whooley had become extremely nervous. An officer asked if she had anything illegal on her. The woman stated yes. She then removed a plastic Easter egg that contained a small amount of methamphetamine, the arrest report states. She was taken into custody. At jail officers found a glass pipe commonly used to ingest meth in a search of Whooley, the arrest report states. Bail for Whooley: $3,632 and bail for the 51-year-old man: $3,000.

— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 8:57 a.m. in the 3100 block of Highway 50 East on misdemeanor charges of allegedly making threats, and two outstanding warrants.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Cascade for a report of threats made. The reporting witness, identified the 23-year-old man coming to her house and threatening her if she didn’t give the whereabouts of a man, Edgar, who the suspect said owed him money, the arrest report states.

The suspect’s vehicle was located in the 3400 block of Highway 50 East. The man advised he had asked the reporting witness if she knew Edgar but told the officer he never threatened the woman, the arrest report states.

The reporting witness signed a citizen’s arrest form for threats. The suspect also had two outstanding confirmed warrants: one was for contempt of court, dated Aug. 7, 2014, and violation of conditions of Alternative Sentencing, dated April 10, 2014. Bail: $4,137.

— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 5:22 p.m. in the 2000 block of Lone Mountain on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear for traffic court, issued July 30, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $445.

Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
