A 42-year-old cook was arrested after allegedly pushing his wife and 12-year-old daughter because they were "nagging" him. According to the police report, instead of assaulting the woman and daughter further, the man went outside the home, punched a glass window instead with his forearm causing a laceration that required medical attention. The incident happened on Sept. 23 in the 400 block of Lee Street. The man was being held on $3,000 bail.
A 54-year old apartment manager in the 100 block of Carson Meadows was arrested Sept. 22 and faces a domestic battery charge after allegedly pushing his live-in girlfriend causing her to hit her head on the base of a training rack.
The woman had a very large bruise on her forehead. The man who was arrested told authorities he was pushed and therefore he pushed the woman back. Bail was set a $3,000.
A 42-year-old mechanic was arrested Sept. 23 in the 170 block of Koontz after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend, whom he was mad at for being at karaoke with friends, pushed and shoved her and threw her into a washing machine. He also allegedly yanked out the phone cord out of the wall when she attempted to dial 911.
Arresting authorities said they saw the woman had substantial bruising on her arms, legs and scratches. The woman said the man had recently changed medications.
A 45-year-old man was arrested Sept. 23 in the 1100 block of Spartan and faces charges of domestic battery. According to the arrest report the man, who lived at the home with a couple as a roommate, became very intoxicated and verbally abusive to the couple's 13 year-old daughter. When the father confronted the intoxicated roommate, who is believed to have consumed four 24-ounce tall boy cans of beer, the drunk man pushed and grabbed the father by the throat.
