Lake Tahoe Basin Forest Service lists beaches, resorts, campgrounds closed due to fire danger
The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit released a list of beaches, campgrounds, resorts and public areas that are closed as of Monday because of dangerous fire conditions.
On Monday, the USDA Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region announced temporary closures and fire restrictions to provide for public safety and reduce the potential for human caused fire starts. The closures are for all developed campgrounds and day-use sites on National Forests in California. This includes Eldorado National Forest and the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
The closures will be re-evaluated daily as conditions change.
On Tuesday, the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit identified the beaches, campgrounds and resorts that are temporarily closed because of the fire threats.
The Forest Service says that "due to unprecedented and dangerous fire conditions with a combination of extreme heat, significant wind events, dry conditions, and firefighting resources that are stretched thin, the following beaches and areas are closed" until further notice:

64 Acres Beach
64 Acres Riverside
Baldwin Beach
Chimney Beach
Eagle Falls Picnic Area
Inspiration Point
Kaspian Beach
Kiva Beach/Picnic Area
Meeks Bay Beach/Picnic Area
Nevada Beach
Pope Beach
Sawmill Pond
Secret Harbor Beach
Stateline Lookout
Tallac Historic Site
Taylor Creek Visitor Center
Valhalla
William Kent Beach
The campgrounds include:
Bayview Campground
Blackwood Canyon Campground
Fallen Leaf Campground
Kaspian Campground
Luther Pass Campground
Meeks Bay Campground
Nevada Beach Campground
Watson Lake Campground
William Kent Campground.
Among the resorts closed are:
Camp Richardson Resort
Meeks Bay Resort
Roundhill Resort
Zephyr Cove Resort
Campground closed under permits are:

Berkeley City Camp
Camp Concord
Camp Shelly
Echo Lake Chalet
