Carson City sheriff’s crime log: Deputies make two arrests Sunday
A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 10:04 p.m. in the 4200 block of Mulligan Drive on suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched after a report of a situation in the 3100 block of Gordonia Drive.
Deputies spoke with the victim who stated the couple had been drinking and got into an argument. Glass tubes were broken in the argument and the two began to push each other, the victim said. She said the man pushed her to the floor where the glass was and she cut herself. She had blood on her hands and pants from being cut by the glass, deputies observed.
The suspect, who had a torn shirt, stated the two got into an argument about the glass the woman broke. He stated his shirt may have been torn because the woman grabbed it as he was trying to leave.
He stated he may have knocked the woman off of him so he could leave and didn’t remember pushing the woman into the glass, the arrest report states. The deputy took into account the severity of the injuries the woman had and determined the man was the primary aggressor. He was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
— A 31-year-old Fernley man was booked into jail Sunday, 5:47 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant for petit larceny issued June 24, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
