Carson City rescue respond to crash involving child on bicycle, wreck at Long and Carson
UPDATE: 3:15PM: The child involved in the bicycle accident at Carson Meadows and Como Street was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to Carson City dispatch. Also, there were no injuries reported from the accident at Long and Carson Street.

Carson City emergency crews were called to two accidents this afternoon, one involving a child on a bicycle hit by a car and the other, a vehicle accident with injuries at Long and Carson streets.
Carson City firefighters were called to the area of Carson Meadows and Como streets at around 2 p.m. after a bicycle crash with a vehicle.
The child tried to walk away from the crash, toward south Carson Meadows, but was stopped and is now being evaluated by Carson City Fire Department emergency personnel. Their condition is unknown at this time. Carson City sheriff's deputies are interviewing the driver of the vehicle.
And just after 2 p.m. Carson City ambulance and sheriff's deputies responded to Long and Carson Street for a vehicle accident that caused property damage. The Nevada Highway Patrol also responded to the accident.
Now is a good reminder to be safe on the roadways, watch out for children, drive slowly through neighborhoods and be aware of your surroundings.
