Carson City's famous dock diving dog competes for America's Favorite Pet, voting underway
Inde the Belgian Malinois dock diving dog of Carson City is ready to make a big splash again, this time in a national favorite pet competition.
The 12-year-old female, who is well known nationally and internationally for her competitive leaping feats, is owned by Michon Mills. Inde is a semifinalist for America's Favorite Pet Competition. Voting is underway now.
At the beginning of the competition there were more than 20,000 dogs. The competition has now been whittled down to 196 dogs. Mills is looking for the community's support to bring Inde into the final round of 14 dogs and, hopefully the ultimate America's Favorite Pet.
There are only two days left to vote, with Tuesday being a two-for-1 day only vote. To vote go here.
Inde competed in mondioring and dock diving in her younger years. She held the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Diving Dog World Record for 5 years with a 33’10” jump. She also made the World Mondioring Team in 2014 and competed in Italy. See a video about Inde here.
Mills says Inde is now spending her retirement years "camping a lot" also enjoying paddle boarding, hiking and swimming.
