Carson City arrests: Naked man charges at deputy; jailed for obstructing, resisting and warrant
A 19-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing, resisting arrest and a violation of suspended sentence warrant, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Deputies were dispatched at 8:46 p.m. to a Dilday Drive residence after Carson City dispatch advised they had received an emergency call from a female who was whispering and could hear a male yelling in the background and at one point heard the woman screaming "stop."
Deputies arrived on scene and could hear numerous people screaming. The suspect, who was naked, charged at a deputy who deployed a taser to stop him. The suspect attempted to resist after the taser effect wore off. Officers placed him into wrist restraints, where he remained physically and verbally uncooperative.
Deputies learned from a female subject that the man had been acting erratic, and is known to commonly drive to Reno with friends and comes home using mushrooms, but had never acted that way, the arrest report states.
The female subject stated the man was afraid of lights in the house and began to break them, claiming the lights were there to save him. Lacerations that were on his body came from glass caused by breaking lights in the home, the report states.
A record check showed the man had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court with a no-bail hold. He was taken to Carson Tahoe Hospital to be medically evaluated for injuries sustained from the glass, the arrest report states. No bail hold in lieu of a hearing due to the warrant.
